Hate Crime?

A large wooden cross was placed at an Air Force Academy worship area for pagans and other Earth-centered religions, prompting an investigation by academy officials, though some caution that it's hardly "destructive behavior."
Mikey Weinstein, founder of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, said an Air Force Academy staffer spotted the cross — erected with railroad ties — lying against a rock at a worship area for pagan groups at the academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., on Jan. 17.
Tech. Sgt. Brandon Longcrier, a self-described pagan who sponsors the group that worships there, said the incident was similar to someone leaving a pentagram or a pagan symbol at the academy's chapel altar and claimed he and others are victim of a hate crime. In an e-mail to Weinstein's group, Longcrier said his group had been "thrown under the bus by the system we trusted" and that the "hate crime" has been ignored. (Fox News)

For one I do not see this as destructive behavior. Destructive behavior is classified as something that causes damage. I don't see how it causes damage, as a matter of fact, it may have helped the pagan religion. And as far as a Hate Crime is concerned, I find that bogus. Everything is becoming a hate crime, that is except when it goes against Christianity. You have to respect everybody else except for Christianity. As a matter of fact, it seems as if Christianity is the most sued religion. Whenever you hear of a religion organization being sued it is Christianity. You rarely hear of any other religion being sued. I know there will be arguments between religions, and that is to be expected. But to expect one religion to be tolerant of another religion that it has nothing in common with is insane. I can be okay that another religion exists, and they deserve to have a space, but again when something happens against a Christian church there is barely an outcry. Take what happened to Mount Hope Christian Church in Lansing for example.

protesters were outside the church beating on buckets and using megaphones to shout “Jesus is a homo” as church-goers went in for morning services. According to those reports, half of the protesting group was dressed to blend in with the church-goers and entered the church.
Once inside they pulled fire alarms, handed out pamphlets and yelled at parishioners. They also  stormed the pulpit and held up a large rainbow colored flag that read “It’s Okay To Be Gay! Bash Back”. Other reports included two Lesbian couples walking up to the pulpit and starting to kiss. That is destructive behavior, and something that was unacceptable, but did not make headlines.
