Coffee Party?

This past Saturday, March 13th, was the National Coffee Party Kick-off Day.  According to the official website for the fledgling party, their National Coffee Party Day launched in more than 350 coffee shops in 44 states.

The Coffee Party was formed in response to what Annabel Park, the movement’s founder perceived as media overexposure of the conservative Tea Party movement.

Park volunteered for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign and Democratic Senator Jim Webb’s 2006 campaign in Virginia.  However, she says the group is not “aligned” with any party and calls the two-party system out of date.

I like the fact that people are waking up to the fact that the two party system is out of date, but to add another party called the Coffee party to rival Tea Party is a little ridiculous. It also tells me how uneducated we are getting. The Tea Party is a symbol. One that showed we will not stand for tyranny. To add the Coffee party movement to rival the new Tea Party takes that symbol away. Leave it to an Obama supporter to try and take the limelight away from a real movement. How much do you want to bet that the Progressives will try and praise this new movement as sincere and what the real Americans want. After calling the Tea Party Astroturf I would expect them to try and Hijack the Coffee Party. Yes, more recently the Republicans have Hijacked the Tea Party, and the voices have since been silenced. As a believer in the Tea Parties and one that feels we need to hold politicians accountable, Republicans need to know they are on the block too. They cannot Hijack our movement, and if they believe they can they need to be shown the door. That is why the Tea Parties have lacked steam lately, they have let the Republicans Hijack their movement, and have been blinded by that. I hope that the coffee party fails, because I see it as a fake attempt at trying to convince Americans that they are for us. Yet the first thing they say is we are hear because the Tea party is getting too much exposure. Well, sorry, but it is my belief that the tea party is not getting enough. Stations like MSNBC and CNN are trying to discredit the Tea party, while Fox is the only station really giving them a fair shake. Even Obama and the Left discredit them. Why? because the Average American really doesn't know what is good for them. At least that is what they want you to believe.
